Privacy Policy
FitData (“the app”) is published by Weiming. This policy explains how the app handles information. FitData is designed to keep your workout data on your iPhone.
Summary
- FitData processes workout and related Health data on your device.
- FitData does not operate a FitData account system or FitData cloud sync.
- Nothing is uploaded to a FitData server. Files leave your device only when you export and share them.
- FitData does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
Information the app accesses
With your permission, FitData reads data from Apple Health (HealthKit), which may include:
- Workouts and related metrics (for example duration, distance, energy)
- Workout routes when available
- Heart rate, power, and cadence samples associated with workouts
- Optional Health readings used for context (for example resting heart rate, HRV, VO₂ max, sleep estimates, and date of birth for suggested maximum heart rate)
You control Health access in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices. If you deny access, FitData cannot show your workouts.
How information is used
On your device, FitData uses Health data to:
- Display workout history and detail (maps and charts when data exists)
- Estimate training load and fitness / fatigue / form trends
- Power analytics when power data exists
- Create export files (FIT, GPX, CSV, Markdown) that you choose to share through the system Share Sheet or Files
- Update an optional Home Screen widget with fitness glance values
Training metrics are for fitness education only and are not medical advice.
Storage and retention
Derived app state (for example settings, cached summaries, exclusions, and widget snapshots) is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple platform storage APIs, including an App Group shared with the FitData widget. Uninstalling the app removes app-local storage. Health records remain in Apple Health under Apple’s policies.
Sharing and export
FitData does not sell personal information and does not share Health data with advertisers. If you export a file, you choose the destination (for example Files, Mail, or another app). That destination is outside FitData’s control.
FitData does not integrate non-Apple fitness vendor sync networks. Export is user-initiated local file sharing only.
Children
FitData is not directed to children and does not provide a kids experience. Do not use the app if you are not permitted to grant Health access under applicable law or parental rules.
Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date above will change when we do. The current policy will remain available at https://fitdata.weiming.ai/privacy/.
